Excess is the amount you will have to pay towards any claim you make on your insurance. The Excess applies to each named individual on the policy.
For example, if you have an excess of £2,500 per person per year, you will have to pay the first £2,500 towards the cost of any claims you make. If you made a claim of £1,000 you pay the whole claim. If you then made another claim for £3,000 you would pay the first £1,500 and we would pay out the remaining £1,500.
The excess is not applicable to evacuation and repatriation, wellness benefits, cash benefits and dental benefits.
